Support young men aging out of foster care

The Joshua Project empowers, equips, and enriches the lives of young men aging out of foster care by providing mentorship, holistic care, and a home to call their own.

How Your Donation Makes an Impact

meals

Many of our clients have food instabilities. We serve a well-rounded meal at each meeting , including extras that our mentees can take home as leftovers. Sharing meals together is one of the key ways we serve and develop authentic relationships with our mentees.

mentorship program

Students are invited to attend our weekly mentorship program where we lead them through discipleship, life-skills training, and physical activities to encourage one-on-one relationships with mentors and each other.

life skills training

We work to equip our mentees with the skills and relational support they need as they face the new stage of life they are entering.

transportation

Many of our mentees are challenged with a lack of transportation to attend our mentorship program, getting to and from work, or attending college. We find volunteer drivers, pay for gas, or arrange Uber rides.

enrichment events

We provide mentees with enrichment events, including an annual fishing trip, for which we cover the entire cost of the weekend away.

Temporary housing

On a case by case basis, we may help support a mentee with temporary housing and tangible essentials, depending on the individual situation.
